so you got -1.8 and -1.6 camber in the rear just from lowering it? no kit back there?

 

I finally plan on lowering my Fit this weekend after having my Eibachs since late March I was wondering what camber bolts you guys and gals are using. I know Honda makes some, but I was also wondering what else is available. Do they have specific ones for the Fit or are we going to have to use other Honda model kits? Thanks for your time!

 

Honda has a bolt that replaces the top bolt on the front strut. It's not a lot of money. Buy two, one for each side. That's it. I don't have the part no at my finger tips.

 

Sorry if this is some duplicate info, but after searching on the web last night I found the SPC camber kit, front #81260 and rear #75800 (SPC KIT 062) for $46.46 plus $13.95 for shipping at Honda 2007 Fit SPC Performance Camber Kits . This will give you +/- 1.75 degrees of adjustment front and rear. Hope this info is usefull for someone

 

Fit shares the same front camber bolts with 02+ civics & RSX I believe......

And I think the initial front camber reading on the 81260 bolts I am using now was -2degrees? I don't know if I can get more than -2degrees up front though. I just went for a lapping day event at Pacific Raceway last week and the alignment setup now is quite nice. I will try to get some more neg camber up front the next time I go lapping again. See how that will turn out...

 

I just installed the T1R spring. If I follow your number to do the adjustment, is it good for normal driving?? Buz Ben told me just adjust the toe to total 0, but I don't know do I have to do the rear???

 

Nah just 0 the toe up front is fine. U can do the same setup as I do right now. I like it myself but I'm not sure if u like it or not. I think it's good for both daily & sports driving.

I do tire rotation after every few months so I am not too worry about tires worning out un-evenly.

 

ive been noticing that since i dropped my car ive been killing my tires. so i was wounder if anyone knew if there are any camber kits out for the fit already. so i can resolve this little problem

 

just get an alignment and have them set your toe to factory specs. camber does little to effect tire wear compared to toe.

 

Rotate your tires will help also.

How much negative camber u're getting at the back now anyway?

 

Both excessive camber & toe setting would wear out tires. BUT my car doesn't go straight all the times. If I just go straight all the time then yeah I would worry about camber wear on my tires.......

I don't mind to have more negative camber up front to help turning, but not at the back. I will NEVER lower my car and try to find camber kit and adjust the camber back to 0 or close to 0degree myself. The outter edge of the tire will wear out faster than the inner edge.

 

A better question???

adjusting bolts? Is there something to get negative camber as I wish?

 

i personally have ran -2f/-1.5r on one of my cars and -3f/-2r on another. no problems at all and very even tire wear. the only time i experienced bad tire wear was when I ran 3/16" toe out up front. killed my tires faster than anything else.

 

Please show me where I could find those bolts....

i dont know what mine is at but i bought my tires back in january falkin zeix and already the tread is staring to show. my car only wears on the sides the middle is still perfect i can still even see the green line in the middle.

 

Let me explain you (as far with my own experience with the Zeix 512)!!!!!!

The tire sucks. ( a matter of taste )

I bought them in december ( I wanted azenis, but could not find them at the time) and they already worn out. ( I already buy new ones, and a very cheap ones by the way)

Don't misunderstand me it is a very good tire in terms of road noise, grip, and stuff, but they are too soft in the shoulders (guess it is for ride confort) and since I take 275 x 2 turns to go to work, they are runing most of the time in the shoulders, and because of that, they wear extremely fast in the shoulders.

Bottom line: It is very little due to the drop ( when I bought them my Fit wasn't dropped ). To minimize that you'll have to increase the air presure in them to stiff them, and of course, that will sacrifice some confort.

 

i inderstand fully i know thos tire waste fast but i didnt know about the shoulder part lol. i commute alot also i drive 40+ miles almost everyday to go to school its wack but o well.

 

thats what i was thinking wtf we dont have that shit i just put in my new function form coilovers and i did not run into them haha
