It's a great thing that we have timing chains! Belts usually last around 60000 miles, +/-, and they are always expensive to replace (if someone else does it) because you need to R&R the radiator and water pump to get to the belt.

Used car buying tip- when buying any Japanese car/truck/SUV at auction or private sale, if it has more than 75000 miles, don't buy unless there is a record of timing belt replacement. If it has the original belt, you will have a $500.00 (or more) expense waiting for you afer you buy the vehicle.
