normal rpm when idle

normal rpm when idle

Please can someone advise if 1k rpm is normal on idle?it will start at 1.5 when engine is cold then after 5 mins or so it will be at 1k.in normal driving when i shift gears rpm kicks at 1.5t rpm then go down at 1k.is there a problem and what is the solution.

I'm pretty sure 700 - 900 rpm is average for most Fits. My idle personally is around 700 - 900 rpm with lights off and on. There is a thread on here that tells you what normal idle is on the Fit but I can't seem to find it. 1k rpm idle seems a bit too much. Check the timing maybe?

Yeah, if the car is wamed up to normal operating temperature and it's still idling at 1K, that's too high. Maybe a bad Air Temperature Sensor of PCV Valve? Do our cars have an Idle Air Control valve?
