Fit Idle

When I start up the Fit, the Idle meter is at 1000rpm, is that normal to most of you? And it stays and holds at 1000rpm after the car moved. And this is under temperature about 15 degrees... Anyone here know about it?

15 degrees is pretty damn cold. Do you park your car outside at night?

Garage inside...that's why it seems odd to me. But the thing is, at 1000rpm, it doesn't go down to 750rpm even after driven

Does it go down after you drive it for a few minutes? Is it an AT or an MT. An AT will usually rev higher in park than an MT will in neutral.

Mine idles at just above 1000rpm when I have a cold start, drops down to around 6-800 after a while.

I do that only on an extremely cold day.

But if it's just nippy out, I just drive it but make sure I don't go above 2k revs.

15C not F. 15c = 59f. Not cold at all.

Mine will run at 1000 rpm on a cold start. Then calms to about 800. Back when I got the Fit temps were around -1c (31f) in the morn, it would idle at 1500rpm for 2 minutes, then 800.
