FYI Dave there is replaceable batteries (cheaper then what Apple offers)

As for sound quality IMO nothing can beat vinyl, it just that it rather inconvenience to have vs the harddrives. If you want to suck out as much quality from any mp3 players you want to use "direct plug-in" vs any wireless transmitter. (Yes I am not a fan of wireless stuff, unless it the remote or the phone )
