Simple, effective.
Have you considered clearing or blacking out the amber reflectors in the headlight assembly? Doing so would put focus bak onto the orange accent strip.
Something about amber reflectors. Don't like em.

the strip is actually red, I just got my red badges to put on, and i'm planning on doing an entire headlight mod (projectors/painted housings/smoked reflectors/R8 strip), but I only want to open the assembly once, so I'm slowly collecting parts for the mod.

When you are in there have a look and see if any way to light up those reflectors. Thanks

Here is the corner I messed up on. Any pointers on how to fix. It's hard to tell from far away, but I'd like to minimize it of course. I was thinking of scraping it off at some parts, then maybe just a sharpie pen at others? Or would it be best to paint this corner black and start over?

It looks bad up close, but in the other pics from just a few feet away, it's hard to even notice, so I'm still happy with it.

Good though but is there anything else red on your car?
That stands out like a turd in a candy dish with the color of your car.

Something more subtle would look better

I'm getting decals that will be red and black rims with a red lip. I also plan on getting emblems as well.

Cool.

The black rims with red lip will make color flow around the car instead of only having one visual queue in the front of the car.

Once you have more done, post up more pics.

later

Cleaned it up nicely today with some model train paint. Used this because it's also made to go on plastics and it's easier to work with when using a brush than spray paint is.

red upper lip looks great, lean, simple, understated, but still unique. Great DIY post.

Sorry but not feeling any of the above, you guys should have just used a vinyl so you could easily remove it.

Before repainting with the can of black that is laying around wash the car and let us see some pics. It may look much better.

I'm not repainting it black. Not sure where you got that from. If you don't like it, don't do it. I'll post more pics later if you want, but I like it. Without it, our grill makes it look like our hood is popped open.
