Using Stainless Steel wire ropes and some swaging I was able create a device to limit rear trailing arm travel without modifying the damper, thus eliminate the need for helper springs, which was causing some weird behaviour from trailing arm deflection during turns and bumps.

The rubber isolator for the Bilstein rear adjustable spring perch was modified from Honda factory part, which provided much more surface area compared to the Bilstein part.

The ropes have a 290lbs working strength and 1450lbs breaking strength per side, so should be plenty strong for the application.

I'll be putting up more pictures in my build thread.

subway is actually pretty small.. its part of the hallway in the entrance to the home depot... pic is deceiving haha

let me know how it goes if you do remove it.. if mine gets to that point i may just mask it off on the car and reclear it on the car.. or dip it matte black

Finally got the Fit back out on to circuit for (3) 30min lapping sessions yesterday afternoon over at Sodegaura Forest. Over 9 months since it was beat on, granted 6 months of that time it was docked in Osaka at J's. Felt good to get back out, even though I was .4 seconds down from my best ever time. I'm attributing that to myself, using 16" versus 15" and quite cooler temps when I set fastest time originally. Mostly blaming myself and my driving or lack thereof as I was just not as aggressive.

Noticed this morning that one of my fogs is out. I had PIAA Plasma Ion Yellows and they lasted a good three years. I bought them for 50 bucks then, but now they are going for 80 bucks on Amazon. Ended up getting XB LED Fogs with the Yellow LaminX film over it since there is a 25% off discount.

Oh non-Fit related. Changed oil on my wife's beater Accord. Took me 45 minutes for my fourth time changing oil in my lifetime. Getting better. At one point the damn car wouldn't start. Then I looked over, I never put the car on Park when I put it on the ramps. Just E-brake. Lol. I could have been crushed damn!

Awww I like the deflector, although I was thinking of painting it to color match the center garnish, the rear diffuser is the same color also.

I remember Andrew mentioned that it requires some slight modification to get it to fit. Am I remembering correctly? How did the install go?
