Freaking out!....

I was at a red light and in sport mode on my automatic sport. Started off in first and forgot that I was in sport mode (stupid I know) I ran the rpms up to the rev limiter for like 3-5 seconds and realized. So I then shifted to second and was fine. My car has 2644 miles (2013). Is everything okay? I might just be freaking out because its new but is everything okay?

Your car is perfectly fine. Your past the initial break in period mileage wise as well.

Is the car doing anything differently since? If not, just enjoy!

The RS model GE in Japan get's re flashed to rev WAY higher than our car with no internal engine modifications so I wouldn't stress at all.

I use to AutoX a Mazda Miata and sometimes depending on the course I would sit on the rev limiter. That car had well past 120k when I sold it and it was fine. Honda's are just as good or better. Enjoy your car it will be fine.

that's why it's called a rev limiter... no worries.
If you were to do this with the car in park or neutral, then you might have something to worry about. Reciprocating mass with no output can end up being bad but you usually know pretty quick.

Yep Honda put that limiter for people that forget and do stuff like this it helps prevent damage to your engine. You will be fine.
