TPMS wheel sensor question

I found a wheel sensor that says "Clone-able; No programming required. Install Sensor and follow the OEM factory relearn procedure"
Is this true? How do I perform this factory relearn procedure?
Thank you

In order to use a cloneable sensor, you first have to know the unique ID# of the sensor you intend to replace and have that ID# programmed into the new cloneable sensor.

The car does not have the capability to learn new sensor IDs without help (scantool and/or special TPMS tools).
Cloning sensor(s) simply duplicates the ID#(s) already stored in the TPMS control unit so you don't have to program anew.

for those of us with a separate set of rims and tires for winter, tpms is annoying. i had put electrical tape over the dash light during the winter because the honda dealership wanted a small fortune ($68 each time) to reprogram the tpms each spring and fall.

talked to the local costco auto center about it and they do it for free now. takes about 15 seconds. try a local costco if you are a member
