2011 Fit TPMS sensor
Just replaced one TPMS sensor on my 2011 that was broken installing new tires. Honda PN#42753-TR3-A81. This PN comes with new gasket, no metal washer or nut. My local Honda dealer wanted about $50(Borman Honda), but I elected to drive about 30 miles to Rudolph Honda on the west side of El Paso. Their price was $38. When I got their and told them I drove the 30 miles they gave me an additional discount. I got the TPMS for $32. I installed and no lights were on so I thought by using Honda Parts I avoided a reprogram, but 2 days later the dreaded solid TPMS light came on! After searching the net and trying dizzying techniques to self teach the new sensor, I had to throw in the towel. Seems Fit models can only remember 4 sensors so to add a new one you have to purge the old one. I had this done at Big O Tires for $39.99 + tax. The Tech scanned each wheel at the sensor location, plugged tool into OBD2 port,(which made solid TPMS light to go out and the flashing tire with exclamation point come on) at this point all that needs to be done is drive vehicle a short distance and everything is synced! This procedure took about 5 minutes.
