Seat rail swap, 09 fit, 8th gen civic si seats.

Quick question.

I've done it in the past between honda models.... swapping stock rails from one honda generation into another (unlike bride/recaro which need to be specific or welding involved).

can 09+ fit rails bolt onto 06+ Si seats?

I was going to go the recaro route, but due to the airbag bypass (not a huge problem) and the occupancy sensor on the passenger side (problem), I have decided to not go that route.

any help appreciated!!!!!

Not like the old cars!! Loved my GSR leather seats in my hatch!

The fit and the SI use different wiring, though they are the same sensors

Search on this site, or use google and filter by website on there.

Some wiring, bits of welding, and BAM SI seats in a Fit

Possible? yes. Plug and Play? NO! Possible for one who has some minor soldering and welding skills? Definitely!!

I saw that thread.

How a out the rails?....

I know back in the day I unbolted my stock eg rails and bolted them onto Acura EL leathers.

Can I unbolt the rails from the fit seats? Or are they welded/riveted?
