Tenzo DC-5 Version 2 Charcol or Matte Bronze

Hi guys, the Tenzo DC-5 Version 2 17 x 7 +42 offset is in my short list.
Anyone can comment on the quality and weight of these wheels?

Can decided whether I should get the matte charcoal (dark silver) with machined lips or the matte bronze for our SSM FiT Sports. What's your recommendation?

What tires should I mount to minimize tire to fender rubbing. BTW, car will be lowered with DF210 springs.

TIA for your valued input.

Ive seen the Bronze and matte charcoal finishes in real life they are both pretty nice, I think it comes down to your taste, The Bronze will stand out, and I personally like Bronze on white, and red cars only, but of course that just my opinion, counts for basically nothing ...I think most will agree a 205/40/17's will work...

Actually 205/45/17 is closer to the diameter of the stock tire and wont mess up your speedometer. Also more sidewall will mean more comfort and protection for your wheels.

it's a 42 offset, won't that not work if you lower it if i remember correctly, it would rub

Yes and no. By myself, no. Full car, yes but only big bumps, minor bumps will just glaze....no biggie

I bought the Tenzo Project M Version 1 in Black Matte w/Red Stripe for my Milano 09 Sport. I put 205/45/17 Nitto NeoGen tires on it. It's quieter, feels like it handles better....and the wheels look amazing. I'll try to post pics today or tomorrow...as soon as I figure out how to do it...hahaha! Either color you choose, the Tenzo's are simply a great wheel. They look expensive, and I've gotten quite a few positive comments already. I'd be interested to know how much you paid. I got the entire set (wheels + tires) for $1073 installed.

Darkstar12, is your car lowered? If so, on what brand/type of springs?
What is the offset on your set of Tenzo Project M Version 1?

Sorry for all the questions, but my worry is that it may rub with +42 offset with 205/45 x 17 tires.

Thanks for clarifying. BTW, I will be lowering my car with Tanabe DF210 and I am not so sure there will be no rubbing issues.

Less worried with Eibach Pro-Kits as the drop in the rear is not as much as the Tanaba DF210.

Hi Benggolf, my Fit is not lowered yet, but I'm definetly going with the Eibach Pro-Kit. My offset is 42, and it doesn't rub at all. I still have a 1/4 inch clearance full turn. So, you should be OK...

Thanks Darkstar12. I know there is no rubbing issues with stock springs, but with DF210....I am not so sure.

Please post photos of your FiT.

With the 205/45's you will not rub consistently....only on bumps with car fully loaded. At least that is my experience. If I'm by myself, I am smooth sailing.

Who cares if it rubs? Its just a noise, its not going to mess your car up. If it really bothers you then just roll the fenders. It shouldnt rub anyways unless your slammed or taking 90 degree corners at 60mph. DF's arent even that big of a drop, theres still lots of wheel gap up front.

actually, that depends on how hard it's rubbing. if it's just a light rubbing then you'll probably get away with it. but if it's hardcore rubbing, then something's gotta give.

also, there are people who care more about the functionality and handling of their wheels than a good-looking stance. so yes, there are people who care if their setups will rub.

Right but were talking about a +42 offset on springs which will never rub that hard to compromose handling.

+30 on maxed out coilvers with -3 camber is a different story.
