Have anyone tried 205 45 17?

hey guys im just wondering.

i just got a set of rota-sub zeros 17x7.5J +45mm offset

im debating what kinda size i should put.

honestly i upgraded my stock tires size from 175 65 14 to 185 70 14

im on stock suspension tho, the 185 70 14s have made the gap between the fender and the wheel look way nicer.

now im debating what kinda size of tires i should get.

205 45 17 so i dun have to lower the car and the gap between would be ok( hope its not gonna rub)

or i get 205 40 17 and lower the car with some springs (what springs i should get tho, i dun want rubbing)

I picked up a set of rpf1s and am getting them installed this weekend on some S-drives, 205 45 17. Haven't picked up any springs yet, but i'll post some pics this weekend so you can see how high or not high they come..

If you go with 40, i'd go Tanabe DF or NF210's. Heard nothing but good about them, and the drop looks mean.

ohh niceee!!! i had a chance to get some 15 konig heliums, but my 17s rota subzeros just look amazing!!!!!

anyways, ya bro just show me some pics when u get them installed, i really wanna see how it is. btw r u lowered or what?

and i had a thought that if i mount 195 45 17, the tires would be so streched. i dunno if its a good idea.

For sure! I'll link the pics as soon as I take them. The Rota's are gonna look good regardless man. I wanna see the fitment of them with everything stock first and probably just put springs to fill in the wheel well.. Don't wanna flush too hard.. lol.

i still had around 4 finger gap front and 5 finger gap rear (i have tiny fingers)

best bet still is to drop with some springs or coilovers. drop it with eibach pro kit and it will be awesome!

Finally got to take a pic! They came out great!! Gonna be grabbing some T1R Dampers from a fellow FitFreaker soon to make the drop, but it doesn't look half bad at all!

I'm running 205/40/17 with 17x7.5 +41 on my GE. Fender gap is killer (4 fingers all around). Still debating between T1R s-coils and DF210s for the drop.

I'm reading the posts and I'm a little confused. When you guys change the tires does the fender gap increase or decrease with the tire size? I haven't had stock tires in about 4 years so I have no comparison to stock height, but if your tires sizes are correct there should be no more and no less gap than with stock rims.

...on a side note, measuring gap with "fingers" is not very scientific
