Just ordered wheels...tires?

ok just ordered my wheels 17 x 7 et47 (Work XD-9 WHT)

i am curious what size tires i should go with? i saw that EvilOne used 195/45/17 Yoko S-Drives, but in this size i cant find anyother brands?

What size tires should i use? and which brand...? i was going to go with Dunlop or Conti's but they dont have 195/45/17

Any help would be appreciated. I am also going to be lowering the car when i receive the T1R coilovers...

Why not use S.Drives? They're a great daily driven tyre.

I'm on the same boat as u hommie....sorry for the thread hijack..... I'm gonna drop my fit on Tein s techs and throwing some 16x7 40 offset rotas on but I'm wondering which tires size I should go with....I don't want them to rub so should I go 205/45/16 or 205/50/16.

i might go with the S-Drives since lack of options...nothing against them, just wanted more options to check on...

as far as the rotas... i think +40 you might rub...might want to go with a tire that will give you better clearance than a 205/50... but if you do go 205/50/16 i hear the Conti DW and DWS are great!

2.5% off isn't horrible to me--worth it for the larger contact patch.

195 is the perfect width for 7j.

Just go with the S.Drives. I <3 mine.

go with 195/45. s.drives are very nice daily tires. get some 5mm spacers for the rears too

heads up tho... just be patient with the wheels. Work don't stock wheels with those kinds of offsets.

thanks for the advice ill check those conti's out...will a 205/45/16 give me good enough clearance than a 205/50/16 or not enough that it should matter... that's what im wondering the most....im kinda stuck with the wheels cuz i already bought them so theres nothing i can do about the whole offset thing...

FIT-tles Worth:

195/45/17 will be a slight stretch on 7" wheels.

205/45 or 215/40 will be a more traditional fitment and be square on the wheel.

I don't think you'll have to worry about rubbing with +47 offset no matter which you pick.

^I know that's what I figured too, i've had 195 on 7 in 15's (and 14's) before too and it was pretty square, idk why if I look at pictures online of 195/45/17 on 17x7 they all show a stretch.

Is it the tire type and sidewall height that make it look like that? Someone school me.

depends on the tire itself. some tire bulge instead of giving that infamous stretch look. s.drives are one of those tires that gives you a nice stretch... tires like kumho on the other hand bulges.

here's an old pic of my fit with 195/45 s.drive on 17x7 +47 xd9 (note: rear has no 5mm spacers yet on this pic) I'm loving them cute stretch

Ah, thanks, I guess it has to do with the actual tread width on the tires, not all 195's are really 195mm, etc, and the sidewall design.

i actually get a discount on Goodyear, yokohama, and Dunlop.

Yokohama s-Drive?
Goodyear GT?
Dunlop Direzza?
Thoughts on these in 205/45/17?
