Need constant power and ignition

I have a 2009 base FIT. I am trying to install a GPS tracking device and need to tap into a continuous power supply and the ignition wire. I would like some advise on how to best do this. Any ideas?

I am thinking that the best way would be to get a wiring diagram and access via the wires in the steering column.

I also need ground, but I can get that from the chassis.

Try the fuse box under the dashboard next to the door on the driver's side. The fuses are referenced in your owner's manual. I think there are some spare locations.
