Power Socket no longer works on my 2009

I have looked at fuse and is OK. Even took to dealer and they said the same. They wanted to keep my Fit overnight. Argh, my Fit is my office on wheels. I need my power socket to run my laptop and GPS. I did manage to hard wire an inverter to my battery but still would like to have my Socket working.

I have heard Relays usualy go bad but I do not know how to check those or where they are at. If the socket itself is bad (hard to believe on a 2009) how can I pull it out? I don't know how to get to it.

Any Help?

other the the main relay for switched power, there shouldn't be a relay going to the power socket. how about you just wire up a new wire from the fuse box to your socket? pretty easy to do.

If the fuse is OK then could it be a problem with the socket itself?

Not the difficult to remove. Some pics etc in my thread on installing heated seats. I had that panel out.

As KenChan suggested just run a new wire form fuse box to a new socket if the socket is worn.

Is the panel screwed in? I don't want to damage anything. Do you just grab it and pull? and from where. I have never done this before sorry. I loved the thread and photos you posted.

No screws. Hey this is a FIt - assembled with a few 10 mm nuts and bolts and the rest is just clipped together.

Anyhow that panel. Just grab it on the bottom and pull. The clips will come undone. Pull hard. You will not break anything. At worst maybe a clip which you can get at any parts store.
