Warning for fit sport owners - grill tech!!

Mods I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this message, but if not I apologize and please move it wherever it belongs.

I'm writing to tell all of you sport owners about an absolutely horrible experience I've had dealing with Grill Tech, an Internet only grille maker/seller. I ordered a grille from these clowns back at the end of June. The grille arrived in an acceptable time frame but the box it was shipped in was a joke, all crushed and open at one end! It was secured loosely with what appeared to be scotch tape. The grille itself was wrapped in protective material so it wasn't damaged, but the box was a sign of things to come.

Right away I saw on the box a label that said NOT FOR SPORT. I thought to myself "did these people ship me a grille for the base mode Fit?" Well sure enough I walk it over to my car and it was not the right size. I read the instructions just to make sure and the instructions were a joke! They were written in some kind of broken English on a small piece of paper. No diagrams, no explanation of any thing, really, really unprofessional.

So then the nightmare began, as I realized the grille would have to be shipped back. I sent an email to the company letting them know they shipped the wrong grille and nowhere on the website does it specify the only 2009 Fit grille they carry is for the base model. I requested a return. Even though they state on their website they return emails in 24 hours, it took these people a week to get back to me! A completely worthless employee by the name of Kristina became my point of contact. I called my bank and initiated a dispute but a day after filing the dispute I magically heard from Kristina saying the owner has authorized a return due their mistake. Well lucky me!

I shipped the grille back using her instructions. It clearly stated in her email, I would be given a full refund within two weeks of receiving the grille. They received the grille on 7/30 and I know this because I tracked the package through fedex.com and saw when the signed for it. Well folks, here we are on 8/22 and no refund has been made to my account, and not one email has been answered by Christina asking about my refund (I've sent her three now). I have since filed another dispute with my bank and I will get credited one way or another. The bank said Visa gives vendors a month to credit a customer when they determine the merchant is at fault. So I will either get my credit from Grill Tech or from Visa on August 30th, it doesn't matter to me. I just want my money back.

This is a warning to all of you sport owners looking to get a lower grille to protect your condenser. Do not do business with this bogus, joke of a company. They are dishonest, and extremely unprofessional. Their prices are ridiculous too. The grille was $107! Rip-off! I ended up getting a grille from an Ebay vendor by the name of MrGrille and that transaction was flawless! The grille fit perfectly, was shipped out very quickly, arrived very well packaged with clear and concise instructions for installation, and the owner is very responsive and easy to work with. You can see pictures of the grille on my car in an earlier thread I posted. The grille is a high quality piece and I can't recommend him enough.

Sorry for the length of this thread, I just want to warn fellow Fit owners since so many of us are looking for a way to protect our condenser due to Honda's lack of any such protection. if you have any questions please feel free to ask, and thanks for reading.
