OEM Door Visor Install

Would like to buy and install OEM door visors like these:

HONDA FIT DOOR VISORS 2009:eBay Motors (item 120426562378 end time Sep-02-09 08:33:41 PDT)

Found the instructions online and it looks fairly easy, except the rear windows.

I can't understand the purpose of the run channel sealers in steps 12 through 23. What purpose do they serve? Plus, I don't feel comfortable pulling at these channels when they warn you they "tear easily".

Has anybody installed a set of these themselves?

Called the dealer and can get OEM's including installation for $75.................that sealed the deal for me.

I would be paying $60+ just to get them sent to me.

Not only that, I'll save $100 worth of cussing & swearing!!!!!!!!

Kibosh is an unknown quantity at this point
Windows

I have. Got mine from ebay, and put them in I'd say in about an hour because I took my time. Those inserts (I believe) are to keep the window from rattling when it is open slightly. As for the channels don't worry they aren't that fragile, I pulled mine out with no problem just take your time. If you car is new which it sounds like, the rubber won't be hard and dry rotted like an old cars would. You shouldn't have any problems. It was the little clips that threw me at first. I figured it would be just 2 sided tape, but they really do hold. No rattle, look good and no problems. Good luck.
