Soon-to-be GE owner - now have more questions...
Hello everyone. I posted a while back about how I was thinking of getting a GE Fit Sport MT as a daily driver and finally pulled the trigger on one today so I was hoping to get some info while I wait for the car to get here - hopefully by Tuesday.
First question - any recommendations on good sites to hit up for mods/parts? After I've had some time with it stock I'm figuring I'll start with new wheels and tires (probably 17s) and springs/coilovers for a little lower ride height (nothing too crazy) and an exhaust so I'd like to check out my options in the meantime.
Second question - how are the Mugen aero parts and exhaust? I kind of like the look of the Mugen lip, skirts, and rear under spoiler but was wondering how good a value they are. I know how Mugen is a reputable name and all but not all storied names are great values (cough, cough, Ralliart, cough cough).
Third question - anyone have a clear bra on their Fit? I had a clear bra put on my black sports car when it was new a year and a half ago and it's been a great investment. It's made clean-up much easier and prevents the annoying chips like my old non-clear bra'd black coupe had so I'm thinking of getting it done to the Fit as well. The Fit I'm getting is Taffeta White though and I've heard clear bra can end up looking like crud after time on a white car since it can yellow so I'm debating whether to do it.
Thanks in advance for your input!

Welcome to the forum gsx-r35!
I can only answer the first question by saying for me, there is no one store I use...I usually google search the product I'm looking for. That being said, I have used Headlight Armor for my fogs (great service), Club RSX for my Progress RSB (great service). I hear Evasive is good, but have not used them yet...may be getting my roll center adjusters from them soon.
Hope that helps!
Cheers.

welcome to the forum!
you are on the right track my friend, afterall you did buy a fit. the clear bra is a very good investment as i opted not to utilize the protection of my bumper and hood, after 52,000 miles my front end is plagued with chips in the paint.
as for the mugen bits, i wouldnt really say "value" to describe the pricing. its really subjective and its more of what those pieces are worth it to YOU. if you dont mind the price and enjoy the aesthetically pleasing aero add ons why not go for it.
there are many shops and online stores for modification parts. im one of many lucky So Cal resident where i have access to local and reputable tuner shops within a radius of 1.5hr drive to any one of the great shops that offer parts for our cars(jhpsusa, evasive motorsport, inlinefour, upgrademotoring). all of these shops have online stores and they are all knowledgeable in what parts work and the ones that do not. there are many other cool online stores if you do not have access locally, just google what you are looking for and report back to fitfreak and do a search to see if the place is trusted and reputable.
once again welcome to the world of fits and fit tuning/modding. i hope you enjoy your fit as much as most of our members do.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll start checking out the sites you mentioned.
One more specific question I have about the Mugen aero parts: are the pieces already pre-painted? That's what I gather from the descriptions on the Honda site and that if true that makes the prices seem more reasonable.

I ended up saying F the clear bra and slapped 6 coats of clear plati dip on my entire front end, JDP lip and deffuser, and part of my rear quarter panels.
+2 for plasti dip! when it starts looking like crap (at the end of winter) i peel the stuff off and reapply.
