Bottom intake grill removal questions

I received the poly mesh material yesterday in order to perform the mod to protect the A/C condenser unit. When I was looking at the bottom intake grill, basically just looking it over and contemplating on how to do this, I noticed that one of the vertical grill slats has already broken away from the main frame section. Wow, this is really a POS grill. Does anyone know how to remove this? Are there clips or screws holding this grill in place? Does it disconnect from the front bumper by being pushed in and removed out through the top? Thanks

I tryed to take this off as well, and i think you have to take the bumper off because it feels like there are two or three plastic locking bolts that hold it in place at the top. I took out two that were at the bottom but when i went to pull the grill out the top would not budge....

If you did a quick search here, you'd find this thread-

Lower grill removal...

You don't need to remove the grill itself to do the job, although it would make applying the mesh easier. Good luck- it's worth it.
