Quickest way to add horsepower?

Hey, I've been reading all over the forum. What do all of you who are experienced with mods think would be the quickest(easiest/cheapest) way to add just 10 to 20 hp? It seems like a new exhaust would get me partway there. Any other ideas. I have an 09 Sport Auto. I'm not racing, just have the bug to tweek a few things. I also don't know if these kind of things can be done without killing the factory warranty.

From what I've seen on the GE8 parts out so far, aftermarket exhaust only makes 2hp and cai makes 5 hp. Unless your fabricating your own turbo kit or buying a jdm turbo then your not going to have too much luck making 20 more hp. Sorry

Haha, Thanks Guys. There have to be some reasonable mods out there. Let me start lower. How about a realistic 5hp?

Don't know how much you're willing to spend, but I have a K&N cold air intake ($270) and will be purchasing a zex nitrous kit within the next two weeks ($585).

The cold air intake adds ~5 HP. The Zex kit adds anywhere between 35 and 55 hp depending on how much nitrous you're spraying in.

I'm not sure, but I think the CAI does NOT void the warranty, someone double check me on that. BUT I still would take it off and replace it with the old air box if I ever took it into the dealership. They'll try to void the warranty any way they can

The nitrous kit, well.... it's gonna void the warranty. Again, this is something you would definitely not want the dealership to see! Also, I plan on being very careful with the nitrous. I know the L15 is a baby engine and should be treated as such. It's not meant for racing, so I definitely won't be racing it, I'd just like that extra kick.

prm intake does 7hp at 5Krpm

I thought the k&n only 2.xxhp?

cai will not void warranty unless it is the direct cause of a problem. (like hydrolock)

you could reduce weight by removing everything that doesn't contribute to make the car run. that's free.

or get light weight wheels.

Very true, I just took out my rear seats K&N claims like a 4.5 or 5 HP increase, I thought

You could reduce weight by removing rear seats. You save 60 lbs of weight. Just a suggestion without spend any money but you must spend 5-15 minutes to remove it. You can put it back when you need it.

yes you are, I sit corrected.

however, I just cut and pasted this:
"K&N has designed a performance air intake system (69-1017TTK) in black for the 2009 Honda Fit with a 1.5 liter engine that is guaranteed to increase power. K&N dynamometer tests show the 1.8 liter engine gained 4.53 horsepower at 6000 RPMs with this air intake kit."

kinda interesting, huh?

That is well and good at 6,000 rpm but what is it doing at say 3-4000? I doubt if many of us are winding up to 6,000 all the time. So for another maybe 2-3 hp is it worth it to possibly void wty? Best to not take any passengers or install pedals for them and have a weight limit.

5hp is not worth the trouble as you will never feel it. If you think you do, it is just a placebo effect.

like ive always told people that come in my store wanting to go fast cheap...
Nitrous!!! its the hands down the cheapest way to fast, bout 600 bucks or under and you can have up to 55HP. also weight removal is a good opt as stated before, for every 100lbs is a tenth of sec off 1/4 mile time.
