I have a 2009 Fit Sport- I live in No. Dakota where winters are tough. The tires that came with my fit are Dunlop- I am wondering if anyone has gotten more "winter driving" tires installed on their Fit?.. any suggestions, thoughts?..Thanks!

Yeah those Blizzak's are awesome, I would consider them (especially if I were in ND) but I actually need new all season tires soon so my money will go towards that instead.
OP - Blizzaks's for your Sport: figure $460 shipped from Tirerack + $70 local mount/balance = $530
Thanks for the replies!.. looking into the Bridgstones.. there is a local place that can get them for a fairly good price installed onto my rims-
On a more sad note- today someone ran a stop sign and slammed into a big old chevy truck.. which spun around and hit the front of my FIT!.. not really much damage... but there is damage

i run nokian hakkapelitta r sized @ 195/55/16. excellent traction, and stopping is nothing short of amazing. it also happens to have a lower rolling resistance than many all-season tires, so you won't sacrifice fuel economy. drawback is they tend to be pricey, but i'd wager nokians will have a much longer tread life compared to blizzaks...not sure that's saying a whole lot, though, because tread life on blizzaks is absolutely atrocious
I've gone through a few different winter tires living in NE Ohio (land of the lake effect snow). I started with Dunlop Winter Sport M3's on my Corolla and those were pretty good for the first two or three seasons then winter performance dropped off pretty quickly as the tires wore down. I'm currently running Hankook Winter iPike W409's on the Corolla and I am pretty happy with them.
On my wife's car, we ran General Altimax Artic tires with studs on her Altima last year, before it met an untimely demise. Great tires and the studs made a huge difference. Which brings us to her '09 Fit. I ordered the same set of tires with studs for this winter. I'm hoping for similar performance out of these tires.
I second the Nokian Hakka R's! Quite possibly the top of the line studless tires! They do come at a price though....but if you keep your eyes peeled for used ones you could probably get a set for significantly cheaper, which is what happened to me .
