If someone around here doesn't stop bitching and raising hell I am going to take the dog and move into the back of mine.

I don't know how you done this in your car? How did you arrange the fit to be comfortable?? I'm 5'4 and my friend is 5'9 and we slept so bad. I'm short and I was stretching myself, and it was 32F = COLD, plus I think the Fit is bad insulated... The wind enter in the car!!!

Can you post pics about your setup??

Good to find others that have camped/slept in their Fit. I'm headed to Bonnaroo Music Festival in June and was thinking the Fit could be my back-up plan for bad rain and storms.

That must be one hell of a festival with the huge lineup of artist scheduled to perform.... I'd get some mosquito netting and magnets, pull the battery ground cable and cover the lowered windows and (or) opened doors and hatch.... I can't handle mosquitoes.

I have slept in my GE a number of times. From putting the back seats flat and sleeping in the hatch to just dropping the driver seat flat and laying sideways. I think I prefer the laying sideways in the driver or passenger seat to the back. Make sure you put something over the seatbelt clip or your arse will be feeling it when you wake up

There was a 13 month period in 1968-69 when there was many, many nights I would have given anything to be able to sleep in the back of a Fit.... With a gorilla if I could have even.

Thanks for the tips. I've ordered the RDX trunk light lens to be able to turn that off when the back hatch is open, but hadn't thought about the other stuff. Definitely looking forward to Bonnaroo.

Think they made hammocks for that sort of thing w/ plenty of netting but a rather drab color. K_C_

I keep an extra large dog bed in the hatch with the seats folded flat. If I need to take a nap, it works pretty well for a human too.

Did a camp out at a friends house in '08, my girl & I camped in the Fit Motel. This is the post. https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...had-party.html

I'm going to look into that memory foam idea.
