Front vanity plate holder

I have an 09 tidewater blue Fit and the front vanity plate holder was never installed. Anyone have any instruction on how to do so? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Thanks!

The license plate holder? The dealer installed mine and had their advertising in there (GA doesn't require them). When I took it off, there were two bolts that went up into the underside of the upper "lip" in the lower grill opening. There were no exposed holes through the front of the bumper cover (just hidden under the lip).

if it's not on there, DON'T INSTALL IT!!!

seriously, it is the grossest looking thing ever. Do a quick search on the boards for all your other options...you'll be happy that went with the alternate mounting option.

just my 2 cents.

If you have the plastic bit and the mounting bolts, it should be pretty easy to figure out. Look under the front bumper for two holes that match the two on the plate holder; screw in till tight. But unless you're moving somewhere where its required, I wouldn't. That thing is ugly.

I guess I'm not in the norm here as I don't think it's all that bad. I've also only lived for one year in a state where a front plate wasn't required so that might have something to do with it.

Ask your dealer. I'm sure they have a few kicking around for out-of-state sales to states that require a front license plate, like NY.
