So have I in the pro class but they were crossed over at 20khz.
Think equal path lengths here, you won't have that with speaker in your face, especially on-axis.
Do you plan on removing the rear door speakers altogether or leaving them in? I mean obviously they're useless for staging but maybe the space could be used for something else? At the least, removing them would offset a bit of the added system weight.

Yes, I do plan on removing all of the factory speakers. Im just going to do some sound dampening over them as the doors has no dampening in them at the moment.

Your kidding right? the factory speakers weight like 6 ounces - honda doesn't use conventional magnets anymore, it's a trip to look at these things, i have the speakers at home and would weight them but my scale doesn't go under a pound

Due to the deep dash, the signal path lengths will be quite equal. Why change something that worked for me in the past?
Its not just me, there are many competitors that have won with speakers on the a pillars playing more then 20k.
How do you measure the volume of a custom enclosure? Do you use water?
Water would work, although a dry medium like packing peanuts might be easier. I've also heard of people using popcorn . . . just stay away from the extra butter.
