hmm, I might have to sell my w12PRS... even though I LOVE that thing I don't think there's going to be enough room in the Fit for a 12", 1.0 cf custom enclosure without sacrificing too much space
Water would work, although a dry medium like packing peanuts might be easier. I've also heard of people using popcorn . . . just stay away from the extra butter.
I don't think the salt would do the car any good either.

I am planning to make the similar enclosure, but painted VBP. And planning to put the amp on top of the sub (covering the little window). what do you think?

Whoa, the PRS is an awesome SQ sub. I wish they made a 10" version. I think you still can go with a 12", you'll have to place the sub in the rear corner though. I was flirting with the idea before building mine

Thanks for all your pics of the amp rack. You have given me some ideas I may use on my spare tire cover. I'm trying to come up with a way of holding the cover up. Up till now, I've been using a rope and tying it to the child seat tether (at least that's what I think it is) on the roof. It works well, but kind of cheesy.
Keep up the amazing work, my friend.
Im going to eventually do something like that...I think. I was originally going to go with gas shocks (hood shocks) or cabinet rails, but it was a bit much for something that I may or may not even access over the lifetime of the car <knock on wood>.
Due to the deep dash, the signal path lengths will be quite equal. Why change something that worked for me in the past?
Its not just me, there are many competitors that have won with speakers on the a pillars playing more then 20k.
I thought you were looking at putting mids there too. Take a tape measure and measure from the speaker location on both sides to your nose. I don't have my Fit at the moment. Let me know what it is.
