And no, that don't necessarily apply in other states. I paid the deduct several times in VA before I changed my deductable; after moving there from FL....and now I'm happy to be in FL - as long as the storms stay away. Altho the extra cost of the zero deduct' is so little I haven't changed back..... I dunno about ALL the other states but of those I lived in over a 33 career in the USCG....moving about the country....only FL had this 'perk'...
