How did your Fit do in the recent Bad weather in the KC area? I thought the car handled extremely well for it’s size and weight.

 

I think the fit "plays" in the snow as if it's a sled dog. I run the standard Dunlop tires and have had no issues whatsoever. Keeping the BBP paint clean is another issue. I washed two cars, by hand, yesterday at 39 degrees. I looks sweet in the garage but once I leave all bets are off.

 

I moved from my 4x4 Ranger to my FIT. It's a little different but not too bad. The biggest change for me is that I can hear the snow compacting under the tires now which tripped me up the first time. Also I can hear the salt and sand hitting the under body which reminds me to wash underneath.

I do get loose snow and ice stuck in the corner of the windshield on the drivers side where the wipers push it to and it collects.

 

I Lived in northern North Dakota for 20 some years so I have many hours of behind the wheel driving in snow and ice. Now in Lincoln, NE we have more ice than snow. The last couple of bad weather days I found my Fit fun to drive, OEM tires and all. I have auto but used the paddles for more control and loved it, especialy for downshift stopping. I don't hesitate to get in my Fit and go. I have a Pilot and Ridgeline but the Fit is the fun mobile!

I was happy with how my Fit handled in the past snow events. I was a bit worried how it might handle as my past vehicle was the Toyota FJ Cruiser 4x4 and that vehicle was so awesome in the snow. The Fit handled it's own and I now feel comfortable taking it out in the snow.
