I just purchased a '09 Sport AT and took a look at the Costco price book for the Auto program. For my dealer, the discount was only $250 below MSRP. I don't know if all the Costco pricing is the same for every dealer.

One word of caution - if you have any contact with a salesman, and then try to go through the Costco program, the contact for the Costco program (different person than the sales guys) will not work with you, since they work on salary and the sales guys work on commission. I had already spoke to a sales guy, then called the Costco authorized contact. He told me that if I wanted the Costco pricing, I would have to wait at least 30 days, then he could work with me.

I went back to the dealer, mentioned the Costco program - and they then gave me the Costco price - the salesman also came out with the actual invoice for the fit, along with the Costco price book and showed me how much they make on it. He said that the profit margin is very slim on the fits. (of course the invoice price did not show any dealer incentives or programs to cut dealer costs direct from Honda)

All things said and done, we may go back and purchase another fit, we like it so much!
