Canadian Fit, installing map light /or home link

Am planning on installing map lights and I came across this thread which might be of interest to those who like DIY projects.

Lets do thii together~~~ I wanna instal map lights too, but I need to rewire the sunroof switch~

Sure thing! Let's check out the map lights of the Odyssey later at the dealership if they are applicable. Looking for one with flip-down compartment for extra storage space.

Yes. If you look at our headliner, there is an outline where the map reading lights are suppose to be located/mounted.

Checked the map reading lights on the Civic, Accord and Odyssey this fternoon at Vancouver Honda. I like the one on the Odyssey best.

Did you guys figure out how much it costs?

I've been wanting to do this for months but I'm scared of cutting the headliner and messing up thus leaving me with a messed up interior. If you guys are serious about meeting up and doing it together then I am in for sure. The one thing I miss from my civic is having no lights in my car at night.

This heat wave is just WRONG~ How can it be 38C in Vancouver when its just 32 in HK??~!

Why are you not installing Fit map lights? I found these here -Honda Automotive Parts

I am wondering how difficult it is to do?

Whats the P/N? I may install that onto my fit if I cant sell or part out....

I think I am falling in love with the new Prius

Ahhh, if love is indeed blind, Guinness is love struck with the Prius!
Yes, a white Prius.....Premium package and moon roof with solar panel!

If you guys are still doing the maplight/homelink install. I think there are some post floating around where the guy used the Honda Odyssey and Acura TSX ones. They have the flip down sunglasses compartment.

Yes, that was what I wanted in the first place.
