teflon paint protection

i tried to search for this topic already, but it turned up nothing, so i'm posting a new thread:

i get an email newsletter from a local dealership i was considering buying a fit from, and there was this link:

eVIP Newsletter: Teflon Protection Now At Continental Honda Detail Center

is teflon paint protection actually worth getting, and is it anything different than a clearbra? or is this just a scam?

thanks for any input

I am not sure on the paint protection. I just wax my car once a week and I have yet to have a nick or anything on my car from the roads. I travel 350 mile round trip twice a week also

Sonic Theory is on a distinguished road
Teflon Paint Sealant or Teflon "Charged Wax" has been a long debated topic in car care sites such as Meguair's & Autopia.

Some raved about it & most car care experts / detailers call it a sham. From what I gather from their inputs, I will still stick to the traditional waxes.

I'm no car care expert here but if Teflon Sealants were such a good thing then I would imagine most major car care brands would have jumped into the band wagon to produced their own range of Teflon Sealants.

Just my 2 cents worth but do hop into some reputable car care sites and make your own judgements. I've always believed that somethings are just so subjective that you gotta try it yourself to believe in it.

Personally I use many brands of car care products cos there just isn't one brand that has all the good products.

Cheers!

The teflon protection might protect against chemical/UV damage to your paint, but it will not protect it from physical (stones) damage like a clearbra type protector. Any quality type of wax will offer the same protection as the teflon protoection as long as you reapply it regularly.

Just use Zaino's. It's a pretty good product to protect your paint from chemical/UV damage.
