Road Paint

I was washing my car yesterday when I noticed some white glistening spots behind the rear driver side door. I thought it was just the water reflecting, but when I sprayed it it didn't move. On closer inspection it looks like tiny spots of paint. It starts on the drivers side front all the way to the back. I know they painted new stripes the other day on the highway, so I can only assume it is paint. I tried a little scratch x on one spot and it will come off with a little work. The thing is, I really don't want to use scratch x all down the side of the car.

Any suggestions?

i think it should come off if you just wax or polish your car. have you tried that?

It was late in the day, so I had to call it quits. It was 78 degrees at 5:00 in the afternoon and 28 today. I will try that over the holidays.

I have had the same paint spots on mine as well. Wax/polish won't work. Your nail will, but it will be a pain in the ass and take a long time. I just left it there. It really isn't noticeable. I never really notice it unless I'm waxing.

Try some mineral spirits for road paint.
