I've driven a fit with the T1R Turbo Kit.
just a note...
the "quick rev to redline" issue is not a turbocharging issue, it's a gearing issue.
the fit's geared very well for its stock power level, but when you make a significant amount of power, the engine will rev quicker because you'll be accelerating more and going faster quicker. your tach is directly related to the speed of the wheels over pavement and if you get a supercharger kit that makes the same power, you'll accelerate faster as well, and you'll rev quicker to redline because you'll be faster.
there's really only two ways around that: driving the car differently so you aren't surprised by redline, and changing your gear ratios by getting new gears.
this is a big problem with aftermarket... you change one thing and others become problematic... change your power level and the transmission won't seem as well suited for the task... change your suspension and the chassis may feel more compliant(not really a problem with the fit or other well designed cars)
any time you give a car 40+ % more power, you're going to change the way the car drives. was it really that slow feeling with two people in the car?

I really hope to see/experience the difference between the stock final gear & 4.7 final gear setup in terms of response at Pacific Raceway(either turbo or NA). Coz I find the stock 5th gear is simply USELESS there!
The tachometer is NOT DIRECTLY RELATED TO WHEEL SPEED. Any engine tachometer measures ENGINE RPM ONLY. No connection to wheel speed. Just think about it for a moment...it's very easy to see for yourself. Start by going 20mph in second gear then go 20mph in first gear same wheel speed but very much different readings on the tachometer. 

For most of the cars out there, u may wanna put in longer gears or smaller final drive after u stuffed a mild-hard tuned NA/FI in there to reduce wheel spin & get higher top speed.

I know that 5th is pretty much useless anywhere, but at the same time i think if you ran a 4.7 final on a turbo'd Fit with the stock 1st gear, then you'd basically be making 1st gear useless as well.
But if your car is more track than daily driver then it wouldn't really matter.
Is Ben running his 3-4-5 close ratio gears as well or just the 4.7 final?

Again some people can figure it out but it's misleading noobies to think the tachometer is related to wheel speed when in fact that is not correct.
The only thing an engine TACHOMETER does is measure RPM Always and forever.
Claymore is correct. Tachometer refers to the RPM meter and measures the rotations per minute of the engine. The speedometer which is what I think the OP was referring to measures the rotation of the wheels. It doesn't measure the actual speed of the car, just the rotation of the wheels. The speed is determined by the rotational speed of the wheels. Very noticeable when you drive in snow
I don't know about you guys, but I think if we had a slightly longer final drive than what we currently have and the 3-4-5 close gear ratio set, combined with the turbo, we would be looking at the perfect gearing setup for this car. Since no one is planning on making an longer final drive, I guess I'll just have to run slightly oversized tires

I kinda hope we have the JDM first gear here in our Fit. Seems like the 1st gear is too short but 2nd gear is too long. I don't know if I'll have enough budget 4.7FD or not but if I do I hope I will be able to get a JDM 1st gear too. If not, I'll just leave it, it doesn't really matter to me.

Oh and 2nd only feels long because 1st and 2nd are so far apart, I bet if you cruised at 4500rpm or even say 4200rpm in 2nd and then punched it you wouldn't think 2nd is long.
