that was how it was on the old 09. thing's roof was rough as hell, clearcoat nearly non-existent. i recommend you seal it or at least use some spray type polymer. it helps immensely. I'm going to try to take care of the GK a little better, but not guaranteed. haha

yah, unfortunately sun is going down much sooner now and highs (F) is falling.

if you have no time, try the spray type polymers.

I use Prima Hydro, but I believe Meguiar's has a decent one off-the-shelf. what makes it so speedy is that you just mist and wipe. get it on windows and seals? no problem!

for sealing, i use Griot's One Step Sealant on their orange pad. it has diminishing abrasives so polishes away any surface haze, contaminants, while applying the polymer.

once applied, it lasts pretty much the entire winter as long as you dont stick the car through those harsh touchless auto-washes.

I used Menzerna PowerLock sealant on my Miata, will probably throw some on the Fit if I get time this weekend.

Nice, the green bottle.

I'm thinking about doing the GK first as it's a lot cleaner still vs my GE... I'm only going to do the roof, hood, and the tops of the fenders. other parts will be just Prima Hydro for now.

I noticed that the GK's roof is much taller than my swift'ed GE.
Will do the GE's oil change this weekend too, weather permitting. I need to wash the engine bay. did a quick mist/wipe yesterday but not clean..

my wife mentioned that the TPMS light came on again over the weekend...twice. but after the 2nd reset, nothing. will check the tire psi again tonight.
thing seems to give errors after inflating the tires too.

with the temps dropping i need to add air anyway.

Are you relearning the system then driving off or relearning and shutting the car down?

No me, but I just told my wife to press the TPMS button and drive around a bit and if it keeps coming back, then let me know.

The light hasn't turned on since...AND i forgot to check her car's tire psi.

finally got around to doing the GE's oil change yesterday. also checked brakes and such. should be good for a while.

i got a tiny 12v air compressor for the GK, but could not fit it under the trunk floor. on my GE, i place it in the side pocket in the truck on the passenger side.

the GK's foam undertray is stupid. thing is bulky, takes up a lot of room, too shallow, and it disintegrates when you move it in/out of the trunk. also, no more string to keep the floor up and out of the way like on the GE's while you're working under the floor.
and where did the side pocket go?!

going to seal the roof and hood hopefully tomorrow morning on my GE. i dont feel like doing the entire car. the old GE that i traded in for the GK had cosmetic surface wear on the horizontal panels only from being outdoors 24/7 for 7yrs, so just going to do those panels. just needs to look nice for 2 more yrs until im done with the car in 2017.

I hope to keep my GE until 2025.

This is a definite drawback of apartment living.

GK is such a pos... the driver side glass separated from its track once again. The glass literally almost fell out of the window frame. The valet guy was nice enough to help my wife push the glass back into its slot.

Never again am I buying a honda made in mexico!
