Radio install help

Ok, this is what I need to hide somewhere.....
Alpine TUA-T500HD HD Radio tuner for select Alpine stereos at Crutchfield.com
any ideas? It's bigger then the Sirius tuner and is a goofy shape. The only place I've come up with so far is under the drivers seat. It will clear fine, but I don't really want to run the cables from there to behind the radio. Call me lazy.

I can't seem to find anywhere else to put it though. I was hoping one of you guys or gals that had an amp or something of a similar size installed could show me where you put it. Any help or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Mount it under the drivers side dash. There's ALOT of free space in there. just be sure to tie wrap it up so none of the pedals run on the wiring.

That's what I was originally trying to do, but I can't find a way ti mount the HD radio tuner. Frustration is at an all time high. I'm almost to the point of letting someone else do it so if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions, spit them out. I'm not sure what else to do here, I'm pretty much beaten.

Under the drivers dash..there's tons of room there.

You should see how much requipment is burried in my beetle. The fit has soo much free space to hide things. I have my Sirius KCA-SC100 with the sirius tuner box which is seperate KCA BT-300 as well as an audio control DQT. The DQT is really big and is located under my drivers side dash. clears all the pedals and the steering column just fine.

I did take the cover off, but the HD box is too bulky to put anywhere under there. I'm going to go look again now that I've got some daylight.

from the dimensions of the box, it looks like it will fit behind the stock headunit. its only 7-13/16"W x 1-3/8"H x 7-7/8"D in dimensions. If not, there is definitely TONS of space underneath the drivers side dashboard where the steering column is.

That's a good thought too Kev, I'll go take a look. I think it would fit in several places behind the drivers side dash, but its too odd of a shape wo wedge it anywhere. Basically, there's spots where it would fit, but you cant get it there lol
