Difference between alpines SPR-17S and SPX-17REF components?
Whats the difference between the two besides the price? Is the type x have a notch higher in sound quality over the type r? On alpines website the type r have more RMS wattage and peak power, is this a typo?

type-X is a compeltely different set with MUCH better compoennts used in he crossovers and way better tweeters

type x is their top line... it goes type s, type r, then type x, better quality drivers, better quality crossovers, better engineered and will sound better. also rms/peak power doesnt make one speaker better than another...
