what is that piece??? i noticed mine didnt come with one... I asked the dealer and they said i cant get one for free since "you need the part to replace it" without proof you I cant get a new one... BS
does it reduce vibration? my mirror shakes alot and moves if i launch my car - i mean accelerate quickly from a standstill........ haha dont worry i only launch it once every like 3 months weee vtec
ummm.. It's a rubber piece that goes between the mirror stem and the glass. I suppose it serves to reduce vibrations. Unfortunately if I crank the music it still shakes out of place.
yea! i talked to a cool salesman about it and he tried to take it off a Fit i was checking out (MR SPORT 5spd!) but i guess that one had adhesive on it so no go
mine goes straight down as soon as the first bass note hits. there seems to be a "sweet spot" that lasts about 5 minutes....but i still cant see anything
i knew this would happen, because even with the stock system, it still shook.
i havent gotten around to checking it out, but i plan on taking it apart and seeing what i could do. my friend glued his in spot, but i dont wanna take that route ><
You should put a washer under one of the rearview mirror screws to prop the mirror closer to the glass, and squeeze the rubber piece in there really tight. Mine is like this since I grounded my map light wire to that location. My mirror seats much tighter than it did stock.

i dont think thats gonna do much...the glass bonces too...
try getting the Zoom CF mirror, it's an entire replacement. My stocker with the Broadway slip-over needs readjustment pretty often as well and I don't even have a system yet. I was looking into getting this mirror but I would lose my sun visors:
It's called the Wink Allview racing mirror. $80
