Cassette Player

I'm not high tech and this question will prove it. The Fit Sport has a hookup for MP3 players. I have a lot of cassette tapes with favorite music on them and like to listen to books on tape. Will the MP3 connection also work with tape players, or do I need a different type adapter?

any outsource will work. You simply need to connect your tape player with the headset jack to the aux jack in the car. You may need to play with the volume on the cassette player. You'll probably need a male to male 3.5mm cable.

MP3/Cassette

Thanks! That's what the on-line ads seemed to be saying -- MP3 or cassette could be attached. I wasn't sure if an additional adapter was necessary. At least while I'm waiting for the car to show up, I can get a cable -- and clean out the garage!

As for speakers depending on the size and amount of money you want to spend thats obviously a big factor. What I have always had good luck with were a pair of 220watt Pioneer 6.5s although if you can fit a 6x9 they have a 420watt 5way speaker which is what I have been waitting to get.. if you can spend more money I would have to say go with some infity reference series.. awesome awesome sound! but its heavier in the wallet price..

goodluck with that.

How would you go about putting on some subs/amps to the stock headunit?! when i do it, i always have aftermarket headunits and just put in the RCA cables

If stock doesn't have RCA outs like almost all stocks then you'd need a speaker wire to RCA convertor or an amp that supports speaker wire (high level inputs). I know the head unit we get in Australia certainly doesn't have RCA support.

The speaker holes in all 4 doors are 6" and surrounded on all sides by metal. Unless you'd like to start cutting metal with an angle grider your restricted to 6" and 6.5" speakers in the factory holes. If your running a sub you wouldn't want 6x9s anyway.
