Question sport audio upgrades?

I just got my Fit Sport and the sound system is pretty good. Forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere (point me there ) but what do you think would be the best, first upgrade to the factory system? (Without big dollar investment!) Difficulty: Don't give a 'replace the entire thing' sort of scenario please.

I would start with new speakers. They are what produce the sound. I believe the speakers are 6.5" but you should check in other forums. This is the first thing I always replace when looking into your stereo. If you feel the don't hit hard enough, you could try a line out converter and add an amp to the speakers. I prefer the Trunk-loc by PAC.

If you feel you still need more, think about a sub and then a headunit last. Hope this helps.

ummm....i compete in car audio and I just want to give you my two cents...the head unit is by far the ultimate
unit that produces the sound... pound for pound, outweighs all else. the speakers can only get as good as the source. However, in this case, just upgrading the speakers would be a great alternative...point in case...for this particular situation...you can't really lose.

Which speakers would you recommend using? I do not want to add an amp right now...

Alpine Type-R 6.5"?
