DynaSprayed fit!

Seems like most of the road noise is coming from the rear, so I decided
to dyna-spray my rear, and tailgate, next I will do my door panels & headliner....
This has 1.5 cans of dynaspray, sprayed on just in the well.
nice & thick

Interesting! How much is that stuff per can, and does it make a big difference?

Yes its makes a difference, how much is another question.
I guess it depends on how thick you put it on. dynaspray is $20 a can.
I have also sprayed my previous car with pepboys rubberized undercoating spray $7.99 can, and it did a pretty good job. Just spray at least 3-4 coats, and you will notice some decent noise reduction!
btw, ur looking at 4 coats, about 1/8"+ thick coating.

weight is not an issue, its a 20oz can, but once the rubber dries, it feels very light, so it adds a minimal amount of weight, no where near as heavy as dynamat pieces.

I meant to mention the road noise when I talked with Honda America. Although the Fit ran away from the competition in every other category, one of the test drive articles (forget which one) recorded interior noise levels, and the Fit had the highest (73 dBA) out of 7 cars tested. I usually avoid do-it-myself projects. Is Dyna-Spray idiot proof?

Yes what about over spray? I've seen truck bed liner that made it onto some interior carpet and it will NEVER come out

I noticed on mine the 2 small areas already coated. Can't figure out why they were done.

Did you remove the side liners and spray under them? Did you cover the rt. side inspection cover b4 spraying?

I'm going to use a large can of rubberized rocker gaurd in beige color on mine.

No its no idiot proof, this is definitely not a job for idiots, as its very messy.
You have to mask well!!! I had no over spray, but I took my time masking.
It took me less then an hour to do the whole rear of the car. And cost me about $30 in supplies.

Nope, the smell goes away over night.
so odor is not an issue.
