Domo-kun's GP1 Fit-Jazz Hybrid
Hi there!
Here's my latest addition to my car family! A Jazz / Fit (GP1) Hybrid Business Elegance CVT, 2011 facelift.
You might remember my first Jazz / Fit from this build thread. So I'm not new to the world of these little pocket rockets
I have been looking for one a while. And when this one showed up on a Finnish used car site. I had to go see it!
Varattu translates to: Reserved!
Oooh, boy was I in trouble, hah!
So I took her for a spin. Econ -mode!
Lights up this little leaf and activates the cluster lightning and ECU to eco mode.
1,4 l i-VTEC + IMA. CVT transmission, paddle-shifts, Business Elegance pack has Power output & USB (Apple iPod Connect), Seat warmers...
... Full Auto Air Con, Heated windscreen, rear screen, Electric Heated Mirrors with Auto-Fold, LED-indicators, CD-stereo. Added is a Nokia CK-200 Dual Zone Bluetooth Hands Free. You can use two different cellular phones with this system.
Rain sensor, with adjustable wiper speed, Light sensor, Adjustable auto leveling headlights, ESP, ABS, Brake disks front & rear, Electric Windows front & rear, Refrigerated/heated upper clove box, Central lock-in, with stiletto keys, Immobilizer. Factory tinted windows. 2 sets of alloy wheels (summer/winter tires)...
IMA - Integrated Motor Assist, works like little boost charger!
Leather steering wheel with Paddle shift, Audio controls, Cruise controls and "Cluster meter computer" controls. Arm rest.
Fog-lights
LED lights
Side & Bumper trims by Honda Access
Hybrid – the 100 Volt battery system is in the trunk where spare wheel would be. So I still got that same cargo space as the normal GE Fit/Jazz would have.
The weather is been really bad, rain rain and more rain. Hope to get a sunny day soon, so I can snap more pics. Stay tuned!

Your car looks really nice! My other car is a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid and your Fit looks very similar. I haven't checked out newer Fits so i'm not sure if we have Fit bybrids in the US but i'd love to have one like yours since it would look next to my crosstrek . Have fun with it and enjoy!

Interior rubber mats
Thanks for the compliments Remedi. I don't think US or Canada got the Hybrid, GP1 or GP4!?!
Well, I have had the car for a month now. It really blew me a way how nice the ride is compared to the previous GD I have. I've been playing with the various set-ups you get with the Hybrid driving modes or ECO-drive, call it what you want. I'll ad some pics up.
Here's the first little mods I got for her. The Interior rubber mats with glow in the dark / indigo effect. Got them from Japan Yahoo Auctions.
We have had a very little snow this winter, but thats about to change...
Mats for cup holders, door pockets, front & rear, center console and e-break console.
Kill the lights and they glow in the dark
As the EDM (JDM-made) Jazz is slowly moving to become a "Fit" it needed this to the boot

Winter driving: ECO - IMA - Snow
So, like I said few days earlier, there will be snow, a lots of it. I was also a bit worried how this little Hybrid-box will handle the Scandinavian weather – hhe cold temperatures to be exact.
I live in Helsinki city, right by the sea. It's been really mild winter so far, so the sea has not frozen yet. And now that the cold weather from Siberia has hit the shores it has created these really chilly temperatures and a lots of snow.
At -25 C° (-13 F°) it looks like the sea is boiling. Air is way colder than the unfrozen sea. The fog will create mist that will freeze and snow inland. Looks nice, but when you ad wind to it it feels like -40 C° (-40 F°) = Freezing!!!
Dude! Where's my car!?! Got this handy little alloy shovel that travels in the car every day during the winter months.
Here's what the IMA-display looks like:
Here's just a few different scenes from the IMA display.
Driving under 50 km/h (30 mph) the Hybrid systems uses only EV. That 100 Volt Hybrid-battery system is great and has performed very well during these cold days. It's the small regular battery is the one that I've worried as it triggers the Hybrid battery, if that dries out it wont start. So far everything's been fine.

Update: Mugen Sports Mats (08P15-XTK-000)
This update is long due. This little Hybrid has performed well for the past 9 months of my ownership. I’m quite happy about the fuel consumption and the ease of driving a CVT-transmission. All my previous cars have been Manual, so I was little sceptic about it first, but it has performed well.
I have done few updates during the spring and summer, so here is the first part of many to come.
I managed to score a brand new set of Genuine Mugen Sports Mats. There are plenty of RHD versions out there, but not LHD, so I was really pleased I found these. And the fact that I got them for a really good deal. Got to love the eBay’s “Make an Offer” button, hah.
I had the OEM Jazz rubber mats during the winter and wet spring months. The Mugen Sports mats fit into the same fasteners as the rubber mats.
Here’s a little tip. I treated the mats with waterproofing spray. It’s meant for all leathers and textiles (shoes). The Wet Blocker creates an protective shield – moisture, oil and dirt are permanently repelled. This is how you can make your mats last a lot longer as they’re easier to clean.
The Mugen quality is A+ (M-Tec Co. Ltd / Made in Japan)

The CVT-transmission fluids & Hybrid battery check
I had the CVT-transmission fluids changed as the maintenance program suggested, All good. At the same time my local Honda dealer checked & tested the 100 V Hybrid battery. The test result showed it’s still as good as new.

New wheels – OZ Racing, Formula HLT 4F Grigio Corsa
I had been thinking of new wheels for the Fit a while. I wanted good quality wheels and as light as possible. See, if you put just some random “good looking” alloys under the car it ruins the idea of having a hybrid. The smaller the rolling resistance is the better – the less there is unspring mass the better. I also wanted to have something that won’t show up around the corner or have been under every other car.
So I came up with these. It’s a brand new model from OZ Racing. I had the order these from the factory in Italy. They are super light, can handle the punishing and are something with a fresh look. Made in Italy.
The model is Formula HLT 4F (HLT = High Light Technology). The wheel has two different looks. You can run them without the center cap or have the Central Lock -nut to give the touring car feel. I opted for the later. I also added the red alloy racing valves.
The wheel weighs 7 kg / 15.3 lb. The 7.5x17 ET42 is perfect fit for the daily driver. I opted for a bit beefier tires as our roads are crap. Toyo Proxes T1R 205/45/17 fill the arches nicely.

The BC Racing, BR coilover suspension
The GP1 and I would assume the GE6-8 have pretty comfortable suspension. It’s great, but if you want to have a bit of the sporty feel, you at least install some aftermarket lowering springs.
My friends work really close with BC Racing Suspensions, so it was only natural to go with coilover suspension.
The setup is for street / track day use, BC Racing, BR-typ. Fully adjustable ride height at the shock body, not just spring. 30-click compression/rebound damping adjustment. And it has the certificate to get it street legal.
After the install I took it for a wheel alignment. It’s really important to get it done. It saves your wheels from premature wear. The fuel consumption and handling will improve a lot. This was done with modern digital calibration tool. It reads all the data. Camber, caster, steering angle, etc.
BEFORE
AFTER
The final touch is to get the car MOT’d after the modifications. That’s where you need the certificate for street use, like TüV-approve. They mark all the modifications on your registration form or “Pink slip” as you might call it. Happy camper as it passed the MOT.

The "JDM" rear wiper mod
The “JDM” rear wiper conversion. I did it to my GD1 Fit and it proved to be a good mod. It saves the wiper blade as you don’t drag all that dust/dirt/sand/snow on the vertical rubber blade. It’s a easy 20 min job.
Mark the wiper movement, it helps the wiper arm alignment in assembly phase.
Just lift the metal lever. Lift it to the opposite side of the white gear wheel on the new hole. Don’t touch anything else (don’t turn the white gear). Reassembly in reverse order – job done.
Spotted this red Jazz Exclusive with glass panorama roof and Sports Pack. That got me thinking... Next mod – Body kit

Honda Fit Jazz Roof Rack Carriers
It's that time of the year again.
Honda Fit Jazz Roof Rack code: 8L02-TF0-600
Washed my car firmly to avoid any marks before mounting the roof racks
I have owned My Hybrid for a year now. Little mods here & there, but i have been piling up parts for a good while now. After the holidays I should be able to start the bigger mods.
Happy Holidays to all FitFreaks – See you next year!

This thread is years old.
But it is my first time seeing it.
I would love some of those glow in the dark insert mats!
I did not actually know they made a hybrid. I knew an EV. Wonder if the hybrid lost the magic seats.
-9F, "welcome to Finland" lol. I love Finland regardless though.

The Hybrid 100V battery system is located under the boot floor, so it doesn't take any space vs. normal FIT/Jazz (GE8).
