I just got back from the track and the best i could get was 16.41 @ 82 MPH, i was running Mickey Thompson 20" slicks and launching at 6000 rpm, and with 20 psi in the slicks it would barely spin....lol. I have a generic intake and a Sk2 catback, thats it. I made a ton of runs and that was the very best. Full throttle shifting the whole time without a problem, but i think the slicks hurt the clutch as it was slipping into second gear on the way home on the street.

Honesty, the Fit doesnt need DR's or slicks. My friends turbo Fit had plenty of traction. I did boosted clutch slips at 3000-4200rpms.

My 60's werent good but I didnt spin.

I was just checking your dynos. Wooo! Thats really nice WHP!
I ditched my WeaponR header because it sucked, getting a DCSports soon and probably having my gutted cat removed so its just straight pipe.

Load the axles? Isnt that what slicks and high RPM traction does....
You spun on slicks, or the clutch just slipped?

I prefer to run slicks as they don't hop, street tires or drag radials tend to wheel hop and thats when stuff breaks. Slicks take off so easy, just the glovebox tends to pop open and nothing will stay in the cupholders....lol

That's with Tein coilovers, Injen CAI, and 205/40R16's (1/2" shorter than stock tire for artificial torque.

I think more than anything, the stiff as heck rear springs on the Tein basics really helped out my 60ft and would be responsible for at least .4 seconds alone. the smaller diameter tires and injen CAI help a little too.

Hop is normally due to higher tire pressure or crap tires. I had no hop in Josh's Fit.
My Fit hopped a bit the last time I ran but I have crappy tires.

MPH is nice... Could be due to those tires?
Take the seats out, that could be in the 15's real easy.

I think Josh said the magic seats alone are 75lbs.

I'll be running with lightweight rims, stock tires, weapon r header, megan downpipe and b pipe, hks axle back, and a homemade CAI. 1300ft above sea level.

with people dragging we can start to put together some charts :-D

Hmm thats odd, my stock base did about that with no mods and a manual tranny and your 60ft is lower than mine. How were your shifts? I was on a full tank of gas minus about 30 miles of driving to the track as well.

instant ;-P

I have the h-fit short shifter and a weighted shift knob, never missed a shift

I figure being 1500ft from sea level affects it somewhat. I guess at this height I have 95% horsepower of someone at sea level.

could be it, you should coerce someone in your town with a stock MT fit to go there and race to get a comparison.

I ran my fit again tonight at Lebanon Valley Dragway with new wheels and tires plus an intake.

The track prep was ugly to say the least, and everyone was getting nothing for traction at the line which explains that why upgrading from the stock 14" wheels to 15's with 195-55 R15 Yokohama S.drives didn't lower my 60' time at all as a matter of fact it went up a hundreth. I ended up cutting a 2.49 60'

But the good news is I did manage to shave .12 off my old personal best and ran a 17.25 @ 77.2 and that was with short shifting into 4th I was trapping 78 on my slower runs.
