sigh...every time i autocross, it inspires me to mod the car, then i come to my senses and realize that the fit has very limited potential in ST...
the car rotates nicely with just a rear anti-roll bar. i had more tail out action today. it was nice and hot today too, the tires went up around 3psi for the first couple runs.
second day of the event tomorrow with more official results. we'll see what happens

guess what?!? my Fit is USDM!! and STOCK!
Funny thing is when I was getting a ride in my friend's new Civic Si Sedan who had skunk2 proC's installed before. He kept swearing almost every single run out there lol.
He used to run revalved Koni w/GC in his 00 Prelude before & thought to try out the skunk2 setup since everybody say they're so good on the civic forums. Ended up he got really upset coz of that decision & he just got another Koni setup from RedShift Motorsports.
I don't know what I'm gonna do with my showa damper w/custom spring rate next year. I ran 3 lapping days this year & seems like I really maxed out the current setup. I will need a set of RE11/AD08 & get some more negative camber up front too.
I only take the fit to autocross for fun. It's far from competitive really. May have a chance in H-stock but that's about it I think?
I'm trying to find the best coilover kit to buy since 1 year.
I dont want a taiwan crap, i dont believe in junk2, i'm mad at koni who dont release the shock for the Fit, tein.. it just have the basic one.. i'm now looking at Cusco, its maybe the only one brand I can trust..
If someone have a another idea.. please tell me!
spoonek4 ; the re11 are so great, i've make a lot of track this year with it, its better than azenis and it grip so well, i've make 15 000km with them and it still have 2/32 on it.
The track here in Quebec are so small, so the Fit is competitive, i've kill a jdm 180sx and a subaru wrx this year. It was my bigger kill. It have too much curve who's also tight and it dont really have a lot of long line.
The only thing I have its the tracks here are not perfect, so i cant have high spring rate.. the biggest i can have its like 600lbs. Anyways, 600 its a way too much for my daily drive car!

I would LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVE to have some Ohlins DFV on my car. But again is it worth it? Coz there's no point of getting something SO nice & not doing corner weighting the car after the install. Is the Fit gonna be that much more competitive even with the Ohlins? I'd put those on a civic/integra chassis instead.
I' think I'll get a set of Mugen 5way & run some softer R compound/even Hoosier myself in the future.
Did u get a LSD for your car yet? I had a lot of fun running with a LSD & a bigger final gear in Mission Raceway(quite a big smaller than Pacific Raceway in WA) here. I might go there again in 2010.

Oh yeah, i've not think about the Ohlins, the spring rate a pretty cool, 5 kgF/mm front, 6.5 kgF/mm rear.. it seem perfect for me! But what's the price of it?
The mugen 5way are not overpriced? Its like 1800$ us, you can have a great coilover setup for this price.
And no i dont have lsd.. i'm thinking about it too + a final drive..

Most of the Ohlins PCV/DFV setup are roughly around 2000us-2500us at least I think........definitely not cheap at all! U can do a search I think someone mention about an Ohlins dealer somewhere in the States awhile back.........
Here's a dealer in Montreal, i've not buy in the state when i'll need to pay the custom to get it here.
Check it too: << SELEX SUSPENSION >>
Its made in Quebec, I've heard its not bad at all.
I'll email them to know the application and the price + the specs
