Not sure. I autox'd my Fit with the stock wheels and tires. It handles pretty well with them.

If you change stock diameter, it moves you out of a Stock class.

You may also have brake clearance issues.

Try some to make sure the, um, fit first!!

What size are the base wheels? I think you could find something that is about the same size of the sport wheels and you would be able to keep the car in stock class.

My ultimate dream is to build up a fit for STS. Even though im pretty sure it wont be as competative as those old "shoe" Si's.

Raaaaaaaaaay. is an unknown quantity at this point
14's are on the base. I was going to make a thread asking if 14's would fit, I guess I just answered my own question.

Id love to run some 13x8 Panasport/Rota GB's.

How did the Fit fair in the auto-x?
Are you planning on upgrading to larger sway bars?

I'm borrowing a buddy's 14x8 panasport knockoffs w/ some ridiculous race rubber for our next local event. They fit over the brakes, but they stick out so far I think they may rub the fender when the suspension compresses.

I'll be running in SM, just for kicks.
Traction roll? We'll see, but I sure hope not. Maybe I should fill the gas tank just to get the c.o.g. as low as possible.

Pictures to follow...

Meh. Regionally, I bet I'll be mid-pack in SM on steamroller rubber. Depends on the course. Besides, nobody runs FSP locally, so I'd rather have some competition.

BTW, has the fit been "officially" classed by the SCCA yet? I might rather find some stock-sized stuff to make a run at the Minis...our region can sometimes be a little **** about classing and make me run SS if it hasn't been officially classed. Z06 vs. Fit? Now THAT would me for some destruction!

The regular FIT has 14" wheels while the FIT sport has 15" wheels.

If you want to do SCCA autocross then stock classes require that the wheels be stock sized. You need to match the rim width and keep the offset very close to stock plus or minus 0.25 inch or about 5mm. No spacers.

If you use 13" wheels they might rub against the front brake calipers depending on the design of the rim itself and clearance. I think it is likely to rub.

If you use a non standard rim you move out of stock classes and into F-Street Performance if you want to use competition (R compound) tires or into STS if you use street tires.
