Shoe question...

Fit-owner-to-be here. Doing some planning ahead and looking at wheels for an 09 Fit. I plan to get the Sport w/ MT and leave it stock for now due to lack of knowledge. Still debating between white or black. First step for me is wheels.

I'm liking TSW. Which one would you pick for black and white? and What size tires do you think would be best if I plan to lower it a little bit later on when $ is more readily available.

Yea I was thinking those too. Although GunMetal, is that a mirror finish? Hell to keep clean! Otherwise I'd go with Mallory. The Volcano's would look nice too you think? I've decided on a black fit btw. 17's... I might stick with 16's or maybe even just 15's. 17's are big..

Also, any recommendations on brand for gold rims?

Gunmetal isn't a mirror finish on most rims, that should be easy to take care of.

The Mallory, Donington and ASAN wheels are eye-candy to me

You planning to drop the ride on your GE? 15s and 16s look small on stock height IMO.

Ok so I know nothing about this stuff really. Am reading up on it now in the shoes and suspension forums before I post my noob questions but I'll throw some out now.

I might just not go with the TSW's because they are a lot of money. I think I'm going to go with some Konigs because they are a bit cheaper. now the thing is, I see that anywhere from 15, 16, 17 will fit the Fit. Some people lower, some don't. I'm not sure if putting 17's will REQUIRE new springs and shocks? I don't even know where to begin on the suspension area. Still reading. Can I get new springs and not the shocks? Do I need both? Will I need to change other things that I am unaware of? Also, even if I do go out and buy springs and shocks, can i get them installed just anywhere? Not sure of the prices of labor for that. I live in NYC, any recommendations for places that are nice to the uninformed?

Also... Fit's REQUIRE wheels with 4 lug right? No chance at a 5 lug wheel, correct?

Been checking these:

Daylite and Twilite are really sticking out from this bunch. Can't decide which is better for a black Fit.

17s will fit with the stock suspension no problem, as long as you get the correct wheels. By "correct" I mean wheel width and offset. 17x7.0 +43 offset will work.

Fits require 4-lug wheels with a PCD of 100 (hence 4x100). Unless you get a 5-lug conversion done, or use adapters, you can't fit 5-lug wheels.

You can go lowering springs + stock shocks, lowering springs + short-stroke shocks, or coilovers. If you want to lower with stock shocks and want them to last, you're restricted to a conservative drop because the stock shocks are working with less travel than they were designed.

Does anyone have real pictures of these rims? I'd like to see the level of intensity of the gold color.
