Didnt really know where to post this so i chose here. I am hoping to soon buy the Helms Fit service manual. One thing i am wanting to know is should the manual have torque specs for a good portion of bolts and such? I am really anal about having everything torqued down to specs(as i am a metrology technician )

Yes, it does. Unfortunately, finding your required information in this manual is more difficult than it was in the '07 version. There is no index. You have to look through chapters on the major car components for most things, and find the component you are working on to find the torque specs. under "replace" in the discussion of that component.
This is one reason why my bet is that you will never see a pdf version of this manual on-line. It is frustrating enough to find little details with the book, and having to shift pages and drawings on-line will drive most people crazy.
It's still worth the price to have critical info., but you have to work harder to find it than in the past.
That is also why, if you ask another member for free information from his manual, the wait may be long or your request may be ignored. Finding the info takes time that we may not have to give.
If you guys do that then that would be great, but at the same time id like to have a put together "book" when im actually doing some more involved tasks.
I have it, and it's not bad at all. Everything is in there, but you can expect to do some jumping around to find it. It's no worse than the service manual for a '94 Harley-Davidson (except it's much thicker-LOL).
You don't suppose they omitted the index to make a scanned PDF version LESS useful??
