Keep a log book for your modifications.
I'm going to do this for my Fit. It's something that I wish I did more extensively when I sold my S13. There's something comforting about having a log book and it also adds value to your car. My entries are short but I am writing things like "order such and such part today". Just an idea...

I do this not only for modifications but also for routine maintenance, washing/waxing, and stuff as mundane as gas (date, octane, company, gallons, $/gallon).
Especially with the modifications and maintenance, I like to add little notes that might help me if I have to go back and re-do something in the future, reminding me how best to remove a certain clip or bolt, or somesuch.
But, I'm OCD. I keep an inventory of my tools in MS Excel, I'm a freak.

I've kept logs on my S13, S14, EK, and I'm on my GD1 log now
and Yes it feels great to remember what days I installed this and that and so forth.

I did something similar with the gsr and currently the xb. A fit looks like something i might be buying in the future, so i'd do it for it too.
