GM Hummer H3 v. Honda Fit
Here it is...greedy Americana versus "all we ever really need American"
With 30,000 dollars you can buy 2(!) Honda Fits or 1 GM Huumer H3...
(GM HUMMER H3 v. a pair of HONDA FIT MT)
COST (MSRP no destination chargeor options)
$29,500 v. $27,700
CURB WEIGHT:
4700 v. 4864 lbs.
Passenger Number:
5 v. 10
Cargo Volume (2nd Row folded flat):
44.7cu. ft. v. 83.8 cu ft.
Front Seat Head Room:
40.6 in. v. 40.6 in. (x 2)
EPA FUEL ECONOMY (CITY/HIGHWAY) in MPG
16/19 v. 16.5/19(Two FiTs driving at the same time!!!)
I know some of you will defend the Hummer H3 as being a vehicle made for hardcore duties (i.e. fording streams, gettign to back water hunting/fishing spots, etc. etc.) but as a daily driver most H3/FiT comsumers are going to be using them for a trip to the grocery store or to go to/fro from work...99% of the time. Unless ou are having to tow something like a boat or small trailer (which honestly driving two FiTs I dont know how you couldn't get a small U-Haul payload into them)
These are only a few comparasions, but honestly you can look up both these automobiles and decide for yourself which may be better for you and the Earth. I understand that you will be paying twice as much to insure two FiTs, but in 10 years you will be saving money by my calculations...please add your thoughts...

I don't know how owning an h3 makes you a greedy person? Oh well, if those were my only two choices I would have to say red. j/k. I'd go for the h3, because I can't drive two cars at once and I know one of the punk@$$e$ in my family would wanna borrow my ride then smash it all up (happened before). Besides I think I could get better poontang in an h3 than in a Fit.

The Urban Folklore is the Hummer H3 was produced by accident, someone at GM drew one to be snarky, and somehow the marketing folks saw the drawings, took it to a meeting and the rest is history.
If they were really "heavy duty" trucks the mining, railroad, utility and logging companies would have them, but they still buy "Subs" and pickups.
These and the Cadillac Escapade (Sp?) were the first cars ever produced for professional ball players.

Hah. Funny stuff. The bottom line is that the H3 is aimed at staus seekers and the Fit is aimed and the practical minded. Two completely different vehicles for two completely different mindsets. Truly a "to each their own" situation. I do find it amusing theat the Fit has as much cargo room and the H3 though.
As for the heavy duty part... I can't see an H2 or H3 without thinking of that video where the off-roading H2 breaks a tie-rod.

Nothing short of a Abrams Tank can come close to how heavy duty a H1 Hummer is but the H2 is nowhere near as strong as a H1. An H2 is just a glorified version of a Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade chassis unlike the H1 that was purpose built for the US Army until Arny just had to have one for himself.

Funny part is, it still can't even do that. Nice thread!

Comparing the H3 against the Fit is just stupid. Two completely different cars, built for two different purposes.
And the H3 is a pathetic wannabe SUV. I whether have the new Toyota FJ Cruiser or a Range Rover Sport instead.

This was just meant to be a funny post. I understand that people who buy another vehicle are doing so because they like it over the FiT. Obviously, they are in two totally seperate categories, but I just thought it would be funny to do a comparo
