Fun Project
They actually sound good for their size.
This was a fun project for the car, and now it sounds like it should. Can fade front to back and have the 12" Punch wired to a separate amp.
It's not crazy loud but when your cruzz'n it sounds good.
The best thing is that all I had to pay for was the head unit and front speakers. The amp, 12" sub and rear speakers where all just waiting
to be installed in something. When I do the EG all I will have is the head unit, but I'm think'n a bit more obnoxious would be good for that system.

Still tweakn the bass and getting a handle on all the different functions of the head unit. Way different then the old Craig unit I bought in 1977. And I thought that was best of the best because of the newest way to capture music and play it back.... the cassette tape <br/>Ha Ha ....

Mmo
So I have quarts of mmo and was changing the oil and using 10w-30. Added half a quart of mmo to the oil. And if you have owned a b engine you can hear the valve train.
But !
I was thinking I was lossing my hearing right after i started the engine to check the level, very very little valve train noise. I wasn't expecting that but I'll recieve it, lol.

Installed horns from a crx, keepn it in the family.
Figured I'd be ahead of the game when the wooden steering wheel shows up.
Found the wiring and relay in the p.s. wheel well area, wire tuck ha ha!
Painted the core support, it was black, red and silver
It looks alot better black.
Cleaned the front bumper was going to install a set of cob lights but just isn't looking correct.
Will get a set of yellow ol scool fog lights.

Bolted the bumperback on this morning. Cleaned up more wiring. Never will understand the whole wire tuck thing. It always a bunch of cobbled up wiring that has to be cleaned up to get things working correctly.
Took hot rod out for a ride to warm up the transmission fluid brought her back home and drained the mtf. Replaced with honda brand and runs and shifts quiet as a mouse. Cleaned and painted the drain and fill plugs yellow. Y1 trans LSD took just over 2 quarts.

Got to have a resonator!
Today I went to my buddy's muffler shop and we put the hot rod on the lift. And we saw quite a mixed bag of piping going on . Well I unbolted the exhaust from the Y pipe Jimmy cut it just before the rear lca and we threw all of it in the scrap metal pile.
Started with 2.25" aluminized pipe flanged it and worked our way back. He asked if i wanted a resonator about a foot from the flange but he was out of 2.25 and I didn't want to cobble different size pipe together so..... we did what any hot rodder would do we straight piped it to the free flow muffler. Not a good call ha ha. After the 50 mile trip back home my head was vibrating ha ha.
Loud o my lord it was bawwwwaaaaa loud!
Like for about 5 miles then reality set in.
Installing the rez next week .
But it is a clean job, jimmy is a craftsman no dout.
Bawwwwwaaaa
No exhaust
Yeah he's located in the country it was great to be there!
The dogs are ding and dong. His door bells, HaHa

hood shocks for 15.00 shipped!
man this a good deal, it comes with the feet that screw down and the 10mm socket at the opposing end but I'lll have to find a junker and pull the 10mm ball assemblies. but how cool will that be a 89 civic hatch with a self opening hood!
