Hmm. Thats interesting its almost like us military guys when we are on duty. Its a 24 hour post for us as well but only a couple times a month or so otherwise its a regular job days or nights.

And from what I understand, military firefighters have to work 24 on/24 off. Plus they share bunks with their counterparts meaning that when the on duty crew wakes up for a call so does the off duty crew. That shit sucks!

I dont really know cause im not a fire fighter. Atleast they dont hot rack anymore that shit would really suck. I thought of you today (not in the *** way) cause our fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building. Our system is on the fritz cause it did it this weekend too.

Haha. That happened to us over the weekend too. The alarm panel annunciator kept going off because the batteries that run the back up were overheated, swollen, and low on power. Like it matters. Our damn alarm system isn't monitored and the sprinkler water reservoir sprung a leak a while back and is empty now.

That cant be good. The fire marshal was walking around trying to figure out if our water system went off with the alarm or not. They said they will be back tomorrow to work on it. I guess they are getting made cause thats 2 false alarms in a couple of days.

I am sure that the military doesn't take kindly to repeated problems/mistakes.

Yes but they are civilian fire fighters here on base. Crash fire rescue are the ones that are military.

Yea its all in good fun. Same with the rep whore thread. The rep thread was getting out of hand so we made a couple of these so we can bullshit on and not clog up the mainstream stuff. I think its a pretty good idea.

sorry all. went to bed right after that. lol
wouldn't matter. i don't get hung up on what people say or think of me anyway. i've been to the bottom. had no place else to go but up. i'm secure enough as a person (and a straight male lol) that if someone made a joke i don't get bent out of shape. life's too short for that.
but uh, yeah, cavie would've hurt me fee-wings. haha
k, enough of my philisophical rambling. back to bed
